During the fellowship year
each International Policy Fellow co-operates with project mentors whose
mission is to facilitate the project implementation and/or check
project progress. Individual Mentor(s) is chosen by the Fellow. IPF
recommends that fellows select as their individual mentor a local
person in a policy-making position who can assist in implementing
project results in the relevant policy field.
Group Mentor is assigned by the IPF program and is to act as an
Academic Mentor and monitor the progress of Fellows' work.
In some cases, if recommended by a Group Mentor, fellows can consider
selecting an additional academic mentor to help with research
methodology, provide expertise on specific research aspects, etc.
