Dedem
had his early education and professional career in the army.
Graduated from Military Academy (AMN) in Magelang in 1966, Dedem has
achieved military ranks starting from Lieutenant to Brigadier
General. He also attended trainings both in Indonesia and Abroad
(Germany) mostly related to military and government administration.
Before he was appointed by President of the
Republic of Indonesia as Vice Governor of West Java Province in 1998, he
headed a number of military and government offices, such as Head of
District Military Office (DAN REM 064/MY) of Serang District (1992 –
1993) and City Mayor of Ciamis District (1993-1998). During his career
he has received a number of awards for his achievements from Ministry of
National Defense (MENHANKAM), Ministry of Health, and President of the
Republic of Indonesia. |
