Helen Epstein, PhD, MPH

Helen Epstein is an independent consultant and writer specializing in public health in developing countries. She has conducted research on reproductive health and AIDS in Africa for such organizations as the Rockefeller Foundation, the Population Council and Human Rights Watch, and her articles have appeared in the New York Review of Books, Granta Magazine and many other publications. Her current research interests include the right to health care in developing countries and the relationship between poverty and health in industrialized countries. She obtained a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Cambridge University in 1991 and an MSc in public health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1996.

Aleksej Duma, MD, PhD

Aleksej Duma is a professor of Forensic Medicine and Criminology and Head of Department of Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University "Sts. Cyrill and Methodius" - Skopje, Director of the Institute for Forensic Medicine at the Clinical Center in Skopje, and the President of the Doctors' Chamber of Macedonia. He obtained specialization in forensic medicine in 1978 and PhD in 1992. He is active in the medical profession and scientific research since 1973.
