Transparency of Budget Expenditure as an Anti-corruption measure: 

Case of Latvia

The research is examining transparency as an anti-corruption measure in the budgetary process. The hypothesis of the project suggest that one needs to combine transparency with some other mechanisms in order to establish preventive mechanisms against corruption in the budgetary process.

The main focus of the study will be political corruption and the role of the members of the Parliament in the budgetary process.
