EXPERIENCES:

           

When I was writing my Bachelor’s thesis on Afghanistan I went for two months (as an observer with Gulbadin Hikmatyar’s local field commander of Zazi Maidan in Paktiya province of Afghanistan) in country so that I could obtain first-hand information about the crisis in Afghanistan. I have traveled in the Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Tunis and Turkey), Europe (UK and Russia), Central Asia and the Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Kazakstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and China (Xinjiang Province).
