2004 - 2005: From NGOs to FFIs in microfinance services: A conversion road map and its challenges
The objectives of the project are to investigate the framework of the microfinance scaling up process in Macedonia; assess the performance of nine European microfinance institutions, providing a basis of information for the conversion of non-governmental organizations toward regulated financial institutions; and write a research and policy paper for Opportunity International and other organizations facing microfinance conversions, national microfinance regulatory bodies, and national banks.
