2003 - 2004: Ethnicity and labor market opportunities: The case of Estonia
The objectives of the project are to examine the effect of the state language policy on the labor market in Estonia; analyze the compatibility of Estonian language policy with EU/international standards; develop policy recommendations in the area of language and employment policy in Estonia; and write a research and policy paper for dissemination in Estonian and Russian languages among Members of Parliament, representatives of local municipalities, and relevant non-governmental organizations and international organizations such as the Council of Europe, European Commission, International Labor Organization and citizens affected by current policies.
