2004 - 2005: Ombudsman offices in Pakistan, England and Australia: Evolution, efficacy and challenges
The objectives of the project are to conduct a comparative study of ombudsman offices in Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand, following their evolution and role in the respective societies; identify similarities, differences, successes and failures of the ombudsman institution in various political and cultural contexts; and write a research and policy paper for the Pakistani National Reconstruction Bureau, concerned government institutions, ombudsman offices, donor institutions, other researchers and interested individuals in the relevant countries.
