2002 - 2003: Information technology diffusion in Estonia and Slovenia: Lessons for other Central and Eastern European countries
The goal of the project is to explore political and economic factors that have encouraged and discouraged information technology diffusion in Estonia and Slovenia; offer insights into Estonian and Slovenian information and communication technology (ICT) development and devise recommendations for the successful diffusion and utilization of ICT in other Central and Eastern European countries; and write a research and policy paper for relevant government agencies including the Ministries of Information Technology and Communication and the Ministries of Finance and Economy and CEE private sector institutions (foundations, research institutes) involved in issues of information technology diffusion.
