2004 - 2005:
Health Impact Assessment pilot project in Hungary
The objectives of the project are to identify a national policy appropriate for a pilot HIA; coordinate the design of the pilot with key national stakeholders and international experts; coordinate the delivery, analysis and reporting findings with detailed recommendations for adopting HIA across government spending ministries; lead the implementation of IPF policy paper recommendations that are necessary to ensure the sustainability of HIA beyond the pilot project; write a policy paper for the Director General of the National Institute for Health Development, the Head of the Public Health Division and the Permanent State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Social and Family Affairs, and the Head of the Social Policy Department at the Prime Minister's Office.

2002 - 2003: Health Impact Assessment (HIA) in Hungary: Opportunities and barriers
The objectives of the project are to review good practice in HIA in the European Union; conduct a situational analysis of opportunities for and barriers to the use of HIA in Hungary based on a mapping of resources and stakeholder interviews with policymakers; apply the findings to stimulate the use of HIA in Hungary; prepare a workshop on HIA in Hungary together with the Dutch MATRA project and CPS/PMO; write and publish a briefing paper on good practice in HIA in the EU and disseminate appropriately; and produce a policy paper for the Chairman of the Parliamentary Health and Social Care Committee and the Prime Ministers Office.
