2003 - 2004: The role of media in the integration of Estonians and Russian-speaking minorities
The objectives of the project are to research Estonian media and media regulations relevant for ethnic minority rights, compare Estonian media regulations and other ethnic minority rights acts with European standards, analyze the Estonian- and Russian-language media aspects of minority-majority relations and relevant policymaking, assess the role of the media in the integration process, and write a research and policy paper for the Integration Foundation of Estonia, the Presidential Roundtable on Ethnic Questions, and the Bureau of the Minister for Ethnic Affairs.
