2004 - 2005: Rural microfinance in Tajikistan: Better practices for scaling up activities
The objectives of the project are to review existing microfinance practices in Tajikistan; identify best practices for scaling up microfinance in Central Asia and worldwide; research strategies for scaling-up microfinance services using best practices; identify strategies for encouraging Tajik agricultural producer and rural population access to microfinance resources; and write a research and policy paper for microfinance professionals and experts, donor organizations and microfinance institutions such as the Development Fund and ORIYON in Tajikistan.
