2003 - 2004: Higher education for people with hearing disabilities:Enhancing the learning experience
The objectives of the project are to monitor policy developments in the area of higher education for hearing-impaired people in Eastern and Western Europe; highlight policy lessons relevant to the reform of higher education for people with hearing disabilities in the Siberian Region; propose a set of policy recommendations specific to the needs of the Novosibirsk Institute of Social Rehabilitation (one of the leading specialized higher education centers in Russia); and write a research and policy paper for the Novosibirsk Institute of Social Rehabilitation and work with and present the project results to the Association for Disabled People, Russian Association for the Deaf, and Administrative Department for Special Education of the Russian Federation Ministry of Education.
