2003 - 2004: Poverty reduction in the CEE/CIS region: A comparative evaluation
The objectives of the project are to analyze poverty reduction strategies in the CEE/CIS region; conduct a comparative evaluation of various poverty measurement systems, particularly those currently used in the region, as well as regional poverty reduction policies; assess the degree of participation of various stakeholders in poverty reduction; and write research and policy paper for the World Bank's Poverty Reduction Strategy team and its counterparts in CEE/CIS countries, mainly Ministries of Social Welfare and Ministries of Economy, as well as UNDP, IMF and WB local offices in these countries.

2001 - 2002: Monitoring refugee and non-refugee populations
The objectives of the project are to develop an analytical framework and methodology to monitor social change connected to the interaction between displaced persons and local communities, test the developed methodology in a region with a high percentage of displaced persons, work out recommendations based on the findings in the area of migration policy, and develop a policy paper on how the findings impact the future stability of the Caucasus.
