2006 - 2007: Sustainability models for Open Access social science research publications in Africa: Policy and practice
The objectives of the project are to map the overlapping national and institutional policies that affect scholarly publishing in Africa; identify the shape of a sustainable and enabling Open Access policy environment for research publication that might enhance the dissemination of African research and impact positively on national development priorities; and write policy study and research paper for the Ministry of Education in South Africa and the national agencies and institutions responsible for research publication policy.
