2002 - 2003: New urban transportation policies in Serbia as a factor of sustainable development

The objectives of the project are to study European policy in the field of sustainable transport and compare relevant elements with local policies in this field; identify standards and methods of planning for sustainable development, the financing of public transport, the discouragement of private car use, road pricing, and traffic reduction; and write a research and policy paper in the field of Urban Policy for the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication, the Faculty for Traffic and Transport Engineering at Belgrade University, and the Town Planning Institute in Belgrade.
