Judith Watt
Judith Watt heads up the SmokeFree
London program and has worked in tobacco control for fifteen years
at local, national and international levels. She was the first coordinator
of the UK No Smoking Day campaign then worked on tobacco policy issues
(including tax, advertising and illegal sales) for the Health Education
Authority.
From 1995 to 1999, she
directed the Victorian Smoking and Health Program in Australia and, as a member of the Ministerial Tobacco Advisory
Group, developed Australia's first national campaign. Since returning
to the UK, she has conducted research on tobacco industry
conduct for the World Health Organization, the Health Select Committee
and for various plaintiff lawyers taking action against tobacco companies.
She has also produced an educational video with Professor Sir Richard
Doll entitled “Tobacco: a medical history”.
