ENIKŐ MAGYARI-VINCZE

INTERNATIONAL POLICY FELLOWSHIP
2005-2006

The objective of the project is to present recommendations for action based on the research of the Romanian policy regarding reproductive health, of the functioning of a local medical system and of Roma women’s life conditions and cultural conceptions that shape their effective access to reproductive health services. My policy study is targeting the Society for Sexual and Contraceptive Education, the Resource Centre for Roma Communities, several Roma women’s organization, and the Ministry of Health. Overall, my aim is to increase the public consciousness about the need of a gender-sensitive Roma policy, and of a reproductive health policy aware of ethnic differences.
