Research on the performing arts centres in Europe

 

The objective is to carry out a comparative research of the programming, models, structures, finances of the performing arts centers in Eastern and Western European countries. To expose basic models, main problems, future development strategies of performing arts centres in Eastern Europe.

The research focuses on the "performing arts centres" in broad meaning. The most important task was to find successful performing arts centres which were agents of change because of their creative approach to the programming and above all - innovative financial strategy.

The research includes both, - centres from the region and examples from Western Europe with an aim to find models that could manifest strategies of how such centres could be developed in the region. Organisational structure and financial strategy were more important criteria than similar programming and mission.
