Short biography:

Helen Epstein is a visiting scholar at the Center for Health and Wellbeing at Princeton University in the US. She has written extensively about public health issues in developing countries and is currently working on a book about AIDS in Africa. Her public health-related articles have been published in both academic journals and popular magazines such as The New York Review of Books, The New York Times Magazine, and Granta. Helen earned a PhD from Cambridge University, UK, and MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
