The project output targets the following specific areas:
- Policy making and the institution building process: By analysing the link between economic development and accounting institutions the project will highlight awareness of this inter-relationship amongst policy makers. The project output will aim at serving as a policy blueprint of how the functioning of Albania’s accounting institutions could be improved.
- Remedying the research gap in studies on Albania's accounting institutions: There is the aim of disseminating the research results in academic or/and professional journals, as well as using the project output as a basis for future research.
- Enabling neighbouring countries to learn from Albania's
experience: The results will be of practical use in informing other Central
and East European countries, on the processes necessary to achieve effective
institution building and successful policy transfer in transitional economies.
