Haroon’s Biography
Haroon is working as a mid career federal civil servant in Pakistan. Currently
he is working on a UNDP project which is supporting good governance in Pakistan.
This project concerns, intralia, public policy issues relating to the
structures, processes, procedures and policies in the context of
decentralization reforms which were implemented in 2001 in the country. The
present focus of his assignments is restructuring of local government
commissions with a view to reinforcing their role as a local government
regulator. He has an experience of working at the local level, provincial level
and federal level. He has also an experience of working with the donor funded
projects.
Throughout his professional career he continuously developed relevant skills and
capacities. During his professional career, spanning over13 years, he
contributed various policy papers, monographs and presentations in domestic and
international contexts.
He has a post graduate education in economics and development studies and
undergraduate degrees in civil engineering, law and arts. He also has a post
graduate diploma in international human rights law. He won many academic laurels
during his career.
