Oleh
Protsyk is a political scientist with research interests and policy
expertise in diversity management and ethnic
conflict
regulation.
He
also focuses on representation and
political parties, and executive-legislative relations. He
is teaching at the University of Flensburg, where he lectures at the
European Studies Program jointly established by University of Flensburg
and University of Southern Denmark. Earlier he served as a Senior
Research Associate at the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) in Flensburg. In the past he also held
Teacher/Fellow positions at the School of Slavonic and East European
Studies at London University and at the Chair of Ukrainian Studies at
the University of Ottawa. He holds a PhD degree in
political science from Rutgers University. He
is actively involved in advisory work and has
served in an expert capacity for government
agencies
in
Eastern
Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia and for organizations such
as the
United Nations, Council of Europe, Organization for Security and
Co-operation in Europe, Federal
Union
of
European
Nationalities, International
Foundation
for
Electoral
Systems,
and Inter-Parliamentary Union.
