Biography

Nicu Popescu is a research fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), London office, dealing with the Eastern neighbourhood of the EU. He holds a doctorate in International Relations from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. In 2005-2007 he was a research fellow at CEPS. In early 2005 he was visiting research fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies in Paris, and in 2004 he taught European and Russian foreign policies at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium and the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. He was OSI International Policy Fellow (2005-2006), fellow of the European Foreign and Security Policy Studies Fellowship of Compagnia di San Paulo (2007-2008), and editor of Eurojournal.org.
