SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE "Transformation of Farming Systems in Southern Ukraine and Soil Degradation" The study presents a case study to
research economic, social, and environmental determinants of changes in
the system "land reform-viability of the farming system-inputs-soil
degradation". The applied methodological approach is based on the PSR
(pressure-state-response) taking into account OECD quantitiative and
qualitative sustainability indicators by using official data,
periodical surveys and interviews.
This study published in: The Description of Current Farming Systems in Central and Eastern European Countries: The Commission of the European Union, 2001. "Developing Sustainable Agriculture Extension Services: Conceptual Issues and Policy Implications" The study considers the role
and evolution of modern agricultural extension and analyzes the nature
of the services provided by advisory services.
