Since September 2003,
working as Assistant Project Officer, Education and Child Protection, United
Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), Pakistan. Responsibilities include
Planning, implementation and monitoring of Educational and Protection Projects in
the province and advocacy with the Govt. of NWFP for promoting UNICEF aims and
policies concerning children.
á Aug 03 Worked as Media Lawyer at Internews, Islamabad, on a USAID project ÔPromoting a free and open media through reforms and capacity building in the media and regulatory sector in Pakistan.
á Mar-Aug 03 Senior Research Associate at Human Rights Studies Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Peshawar.
Responsibilities involved teaching and conducting research on legal and human rights subjects; technical and policy advise to Govt. agencies; organizing liaison between the University of Peshawar and the University of Oslo; multi-partner donor coordination and programme implementation; facilitation of trainings/workshops; editing/review of academic materials, and curriculum development.
á 2002-2003: Carried out a public policy research on ÔSocial services delivery for children in the framework of decentralizationÕ as an International Policy Fellow, for OSI (Open Society Institute), Budapest, Hungary.
