By education, I'm a human geographer; by profession - a political analyst. Over the past decade or so, as Georgia had started to build a sovereign state, I have shifted my focus from geography and have moved to the sphere of policy design to apply my academic knowledge to foreign and security policy decision making. After almost a decade of my career in politics I decided to return to the academic community. Currently I'm involved in teaching and research; my professional interests relate to Georgia's European orientation, regional security and political risk analysis.
