The Senzor Foundation  has been established in 1999 in  Satu Mare, Romania, with the aim to help
hearing-impaired children and youth in their special  social, cultural and educational needs. The mission of the Foundation is to offer financial, organizational and informational support to the teaching, education and social integration  of  deaf children and youth. To our knowledge this is the first such non-governmental initiative  in Romania.

 

What services are we offering ?
 
-  
emergency help (with clothes, food,  hearing aids) for deaf children in need

teaching   based on differentiated and individualised  methods
 
-  equipment for   deaf education
 
consultation for parents and teachers of hearing-impaired  children
 
-  assistance in fostering the sign language and oral communication skills of the deaf and in providing public institutions  with interpreters of the sign language
 
- personality development and community building activities for deaf children and youth
