The
potential of cross border cooperation in the Hungarian-Romanian border area.The Bihor-Bihar Euro-region.
After the presentation of the case study, the main problem
raised are: state borders as obstacle of regional cooperation, and the way to
overcome this obstacle, but the discussion also touched upon the new situation,
opportunities and challenges which are going to emerge after the border between
Romania and Hungary will be reduced to its symbolic significance. Thus,
students were able to think not only in present time, but also to go back and
draw conclusions from the past, as well as to extrapolate into the future.
