Analyzing regional economies and social processes
During this class, the problem
of the relationship between competition and cooperation, touched upon in the
previous occasion at community level was now discussed at the level of
individuals. How people in the region are affected by the regional
redistribution of resources in their various capacities (as employers or
employees, consumers, or producers, job applicants, candidates for resettlement
or beneficiaries of social services)? This approach enabled students to take
examples from real life and to discuss and analyse everyday-life situations
which are rather familiar to them, thus facilitating comprehension.
