An abstract of the project:

• It will study election-related performance of the regional governments in Russia
  
• It will investigate effects of the various electoral systems on accountability of the governments
  
• I will devise recommendations on electoral proceduers that  are more likely to enhance democratic accountability of elected politicians
  
• I will write a reserach and policy paper for the Regional Policy Commitee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation
